Recycling the demolition is a crucial part of the initial phase of the construction process. When demolishing a home, the debris needs to be separated into 3 types of categories… masonry, metal and wood. First the masonry gets separated and taken off site to a crushing station, where it is pulverized into different sizes and grades.
The masonry that is recycled will be used again during the construction of the home to be environmentally compliant with all statutes and laws, which will inherently save money. Larger stones will be used in the areas where there will be heavy digging to prevent dust, smaller stones will be reused for compaction for example driveways and fills within the foundation.
All metal and wood that is left during the demolition is separated and taken to a recycling facility for environmental preservation purposes.
